Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday August 21, 2017, a Special Board Meeting was held this date at 6:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with proper notice having been posted.
Roll Call
Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Lisa Lambert, Jamie Johnson, Joan Bullard and Brian Mills;
Staff Present: Iris Thorne; Richard Ribordy
Village Attorney Present: Ed Legner

Pledge of Allegiance
Clerk Iris Thorne led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Attorney Legner advised the board as to State Statute concerning the appointment to the open President position. Trustee Jamie Johnson moved to appoint Trustee Brian Mills as Acting President; second by Trustee Joan Bullard;

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Lisa Lambert, Jamie Johnson, Joan Bullard – 4;
Nays: None
Absent: Brian Mills – 1;

Protocol Future Resignations
Attorney Legner advised the Board as to the appointment of a President/Mayor, according to State Statute, in the advent of the absence or resignation of the current President/Mayor. Attorney Legner will check with other communities with similar government structure to see if they have additional or more specific set procedures in place.
Re-visit Employee/Spouse Health Insurance
Trustee Joan Bullard moved to enter into Executive Session at 6:56pm to discuss employee benefits; second by Brian Verdun;
