Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday March 09, 2020, a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

 

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Lisa Lambert, Jamie McPeek, Mark Tissiere, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell

Staff Present: Iris Thorne

Village Attorney Present: Nick Ehrgott

Guests Present:  Sgt. DeVoss, David Thorne, Harold LePard, Bob Legner

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the Board Listing Report #84 ran on March 09, 2020 at 2:09pm representing all due bills for the Village due in March 2020; Board Listing Report #85 ran on March 09, 2020 ran at 2:25pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in March 2020 and the between Meeting Paid Bill List.

Police Report

Sgt. DeVoss reviewed the February Police Report.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Downtown Buildings Update

Attorney Ehrgott stated that there is currently a title search on the Pantazi property.

 

Illinois Cannabis Law

The Board has reviewed the Village’s proposed regulations on the Illinois Cannabis Law.

 

Trustee Mark Tissiere moved to send the proposed regulations to the Zoning Board of Appeals; second by Trustee Jamie McPeek;

Miscellaneous Old Business (discussion only)

Mayor Mills announced that the County is having s county wide electronic recycling day in Fairbury next month.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

New Lawn Mower Bids

Mayor Mills presented four bids on a new lawnmower for the Village.  After discussion of the purchase of a new lawnmower, the issue was tabled.

 

Miscellaneous New Business (discussion only)

Mayor Mills presented Bob Legner with a plaque thanking him for his 52 years of service in various capacities to the Village of Odell.

 

Mayor Mills informed the Board that Locis has suggested that the Village purchase a computer to act as a server if one of the work stations goes down again.

 

Trustee Lisa Lambert moved to adjourn at 8:05pm; second by Trustee Jamie McPeek;
