Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday October 10, 2022 a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

 

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell

Minutes of the September 12, 2022 Regular Board Meeting

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the minutes of the September 12, 2022 Regular Board Meeting; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Minutes of the September 29, 2022 Special Board Meeting

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the minutes of the September 29, 2022 Regular Board Meeting; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Jim Rebholz was not in attendance.  Board packets contained the Treasurer’s Report and the Year-to-date Fund Summary for the month ending September 30, 2022. Account balances are as follows:

Board Listing Report #181 ran on October 10, 2022 at 1:45pm representing all bills for the Village due in October; and Board Listing Report #180 ran on October 10, 2022 at 1:30pm representing all bills for Tourism due in October; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $73,061.33 were presented to the board for payment approval.

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve Board Listing Report #181 ran on October 10, 2022 at 1:45pm representing all bills for the Village due in October; and Board Listing Report #180 ran on October 10, 2022 at 1:30pm representing all bills for Tourism due in October; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $73,061.33; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

There was no Deputy from Livingston County Sheriff’s Office present for the September Police Activity Report.

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Miscellaneous Old Business (discussion only)

Mayor Mills noted that the Generator has not arrived.  He informed the board that 25 junk car letters were mailed out and also reported that a new pump for lift station #2 has been ordered.  He indicated that our engineers will be working on a method to solve the buildup in the PVC pipe that runs from the Clearwell to Village Hall before winter sets in.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Mayor’s Recommendation for Open Trustee Position

Mayor Mills is recommending Village resident Josh Osborne for the open Trustee position.

 

Trustee Trisha Biernat moved to approve Mayor Mill’s recommendation to appoint Josh Osborne to the open Trustee position; second by Trustee Brian Verdun:

Tree Removal Bids

Mayor Mills reported that this year the Village has 3 tree and stump removals; 6 trim only and 1 stump removal only.  Bids received are as follows:

DCM Landscaping            $ 4,100.00

Trost Tree Removal          $ 4,000.00

Bradbury Tree Removal   $ 2,750.00

 

Brian Verdun moved to accept Bradbury Tree Removal bid for $ 2,750.00; second by Trustee Randy Pagel;

Miscellaneous New Business (discussion only)

A business in town has been in contact with Rich Ribordy, Village Water/Sewer Superintendent, about hooking up to the sewer.  Owner was informed that per Village Ordinance residences and or businesses are responsible for the cost of the hookup.

 

Trustee Trisha Biernat moved to adjourn at 7:35pm; second by Trustee Josh Osborne;
