Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday September 13, 2021, a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

 

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Emily Gall, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell

Staff Present: Iris Thorne, Jim Rebholz

Village Attorney Present: Nick Ehrgott

Guests Present: Don Emberling; Sgt. Bunting

Minutes of the August 9, 2021 Regular Board Meeting

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the minutes from the August 09, 2021 Regular Board Meeting; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

 

Approved by roll call vote:

Yeas:  Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Emily Gall, Randy Pagel, Rodney Morris and Tom Russell – 6;

Nays:   None

 

Treasurer’s Report

Board packets contained the Treasurer’s Report and the Year-to-date Fund Summary for the month ending August 31, 2021. Treasurer Jim Rebholz reported bank ending balances for the month ending August 31, 2021 as follows:

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the August 31, 2021 Treasurer’s Report; second by Trustee Randy Pagel;

Nays:   None

Bills

Board Listing Report #141 ran on September 13, 2021 at 12:02pm representing all due bills for the Village due in September; Board Listing Report #142 ran on September 13, 2021 at 12:30pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in September; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $10,674.29

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the Board Listing Report #141 ran on September 13, 2021 at 12:02pm representing all due bills for the Village due in September; Board Listing Report #142 ran on September 13, 2021 at 12:30pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in September; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $10,674.29 second by Trustee Rodney Morris.

Police Report

Sgt Bunting from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were present to review the August Police Activity within the Village.

Miscellaneous Old Business

Mayor Mills updated the board regarding 109 N. Front Street property cleanup and discussed the next steps to be taken.

The board discussed the progress on the cleaning up of the building on 200 E. Hamilton St.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Tax Levy

The Tax Levy for the F/Y 2021-2022 was presented.  Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the F/Y 2021-2022 Tax Levy; second by Trustee Emily Gall;

Nays:   None

 

Tree Removal Bids

Two Tree Removal Bids were received as follows:

Bradbury Tree Service – $3,499.00

Trost Tree Removal – $6,500.00

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to accept the Bradbury Tree Service bid of $3,499.00; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Miscellaneous New Business

Mayor Mills announced that Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation is selling trees for $51.00 a tree.  Mayor Mills suggested that the Village start purchasing trees for the walking/biking path and replacing the ones taken down in town.

 

Trustee Trisha Biernat moved to adjourn at 7:42pm; second by Trustee Emily Gall;
