Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday June 14, 2021, a Regular Board Meeting was held this date at 7:00pm, at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Brian Mills presiding and with proper notice having been posted.

 

Roll Call

Roll call showed the following Trustee members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Trisha Biernat, Emily Gall, and Tom Russell

Village Attorney Present: N/A

Guests Present: Randy Pagel, Dennis and Elizabeth Muller

Mayor Mills led the Pledge of Allegiance

 

 Minutes of the May 10, 2021 Regular Board Meeting

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the minutes from the May 10, 2021 Regular Board Meeting; second by Trustee Tom Russell;

Treasurer’s Report

Board packets contained the Treasurer’s Report and the Year-to-date Fund Summary for the month ending May 31, 2021.  In the absence of Treasurer Jim Rebholz Iris Thone reported bank ending balances for the month ending May 31, 2021 as follows:

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the May 31, 2021 Treasurer’s Report; second by Trustee Emily Gall;

Board Listing Report #132 ran on June14, 2021 at 2:38pm representing all due bills for the Village due in June; Board Listing Report #133 ran on June 14, 2021 at 3:04pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in June; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $6,536.93.

 

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the Board Listing Report #132 ran on June14, 2021 at 2:38pm representing all due bills for the Village due in June; Board Listing Report #133 ran on June 14, 2021 at 3:04pm representing all due bills for Tourism due in June; and the between Meeting Paid Bill List for $6,536.93; second by Trustee Emily Gall.

Police Report

There was no representative from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office present.  Mayor Mills reviewed the May Police Activity with the Board

Resolution to Cash in CD for the Purpose of Paying for Demolition

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to cash in the CD for $151,911.81 to pay for the Demolition of the two buildings; second by Trustee Trisha Biernat;

Zoning Board Recommendations

Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the variance request at 207 W. Henry St. for the fence; second by Trustee Trish Biernat;

Clearing Out Creek by Ball Diamond

Clearing out the creek by the ball diamond issue was discussed again this month. Issue will be further researched.

 

Miscellaneous Old Business

Mayor Mills reported that the Demolition of the Downtown Buildings is complete except for the filling in of the holes, which is moving slowly.

 

There will be a court hearing this month regarding the litigation of 200 E Hamilton.  Issue is tabled until next month.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Vacant Board Seat Appointment

Mayor Mills is recommending Randy Pagel to fill the vacant Board Seat.  Trustee Brian Verdun moved to approve the appointment of Randy Pagel to the Village Board; seconded by Trustee Trisha Biernat

Nays:   None

 

Mayor Mills administered the Oath of Office to Randy Pagel.

 

Miscellaneous New Business

Mayor Mills announced that the Village has received a letter from IDOT stating that the Village’s MFT Fund has been audited from January 1, 2019 thru April 30, 2020 and is in compliance.

Trustee Trisha Biernat moved to adjourn at 7:54pm; second by Trustee Emily Gall;
