Council Room, Odell, Illinois, Monday, October 07, 2014, a Special Board Meeting was held this date at 7:16pm., at Village Hall, Council Room, 213 S. Front Street, with Mayor Joyner presiding and with proper notice having been posted.
Roll Call
Roll call showed the following Trustee Members were physically present: Brian Verdun, Gary Wykes, Jamie Johnson, Phaela Hodges, Matt Weaver and Herman Fearman.

Village Attorney Present: Ed Legner
Guests Present: Jim Schott, Diane Schott, Nathan Rowland, Michelle Akan, Eren Akan, Gary Neville & Bob Legner
Mayor Joyner called the meeting to order at 7:16pm., at which time a majority of a quorum was present
Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Joyner led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Planning Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals Recommendation
Mayor Joyner stated that this Special Board meeting was called to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals on the re-subdivision and variance petitions, submitted by Jim and Diane Schott.
Ed Legner added that with the re-subdivision the house on lot 2 would be rezoned from
I-2 to R-1 and the Commercial building on lot 1 would remain I-2; and that the re-subdivision is subject to the approval of a setback variance petition submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Ed further advised that the variance petition is in reference to the setback on lot 1. On lot 1, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the variance from the setback of 25’ be allowed – with the Southwest corner setback at 5.4’ and the Southeast corner setback at 5.65’.
Trustee Matt Weaver moved to accept the Planning Commission’s recommendation on the re-subdivision and also the Zoning Board of Appeals recommendation on the variance; second by Herman Fearman;

Yeas: Brian Verdun, Gary Wykes, Jamie Johnson, Phaela Hodges; Matt Weaver, and Herman Fearman – 6;
Nays: None
Trustee Gary Wykes moved to adjourn at 7:26pm; second by Trustee Jamie Johnson
